Going Viral: Carlton Draught – Beer Chase

Australian beer brand Carlton are renowned in their country for producing clever and humourous adverts, but their new one may just be the best one yet, and has spread globally with over 2 million YouTube hits in just one week. The commercial, entitled ‘Beer Chase’, focuses on a group of four men, who are seemingly celebrating a successful bank heist in a pub with a pint of Carlton Draught each. However, also in the pub with them is a squad of police officer, who are also enjoying a Carlton. A surreal chase ensues in the style of a ’70s American cop drama series, complete with over the hill airborne shots, albeit with no vehicles. The background song alone makes this video an instant classic.
