Grey Poupon: The Most Exclusive Page on Facebook

A high-end mustard brand is garnering attention for its discerning approach to gaining fans on Facebook. Grey Poupon have installed an app that decides if you are suitable to become a fan of its page by examining your interests, friends and writing style. Those who try to like the page without undergoing the entrance test will be deleted. The intention of this, according to Tom Markham, executive creative director at Grey Poupon, is to have fans who are highly engaged with the brand, more so than the multi-millions of fans of big name brands such as Coca-Cola. The page currently has over 24,000 fans.
