Murphys Stout App – When It Rains It Pours

Over the last two summers, Budweiser have released a promotion in Ireland whereby the hotter it is, the cheaper a pint of Budweiser will be thanks to a downloadable app for smartphones. However, there hasn’t been much of a discount for Irish drinkers, as Irish summers have become somewhat famed for constant rain and a distinct lack of sunshine. Cork-based stout company Murphys have used this as the basis for their promotional app – an app that will enable the user to receive a pint of Murphys for free if it is raining, and continue the parody down to the video advert of the app, which directly mimics Budweiser’s representative with a Cork alternative.
