Twitter Cutting Ties With LinkedIn Drives Traffic to Facebook

Twitter’s decision to sever its ties with LinkedIn in June has resulted in a whopping 1000% rise in referral traffic for Twitter’s rivals, Facebook. Twitter made the decision to end its partnership with LinkedIn meant that updates from Twitter could not be synced to the business networking site. Consequently, the gap left was filled by Facebook, as competition for content on the homepage news-feed of LinkedIn decreased significantly.
